Where I Stand

Anyone who lives in Las Vegas can tell you that it’s hot as hell here. Historic droughts have caused literal bodies to wash up at Lake Mead as our water supply keeps dropping and dropping. Utility rates and AC costs keep rising. These things continue to get worse year after year, and they put us all at risk, especially places like the Las Vegas Valley.

Data Centers and AI can put people, our water supply, and energy supply at risk. Nevada is already facing cuts to our water supply and rising energy costs. We cannot afford to jeopardize our water supply or allow for data centers to push up the costs of energy in a place where running AC is necessary to live.

What I’ll Do

Regulate AI and Data Centers to responsibly grow and not tax our water or power supplies and ENSURE our communities are safe and unaffected negatively.

• Clear and heavy regulation of existing data centers to provide clear and transparent water and energy usage benchmarks or risk being heavily fined and shut down.

• Evaporative cooling ban.

• 100% renewable energy self sustainable powered data centers .

• Ending data center tax abatements.

• New Data center moratorium if we cannot ensure the proper safeguards are in place.

Why It Matters

Data Centers and AI have the potential to change our society immensely. The potential for exponential expansion is there, and it has be devastating to our communities if we don’t get this right. We cannot afford to get this wrong so we have to move at a rate that ensures are communities are safe and that Nevada can grow in sustainable way.
