Where I Stand

I am 100% against companies like a New-York based hedge fund owning over 3,000 homes in the Las Vegas Valley (The LVRJ) and pushing up housing prices. If real life was like a game of Monopoly, the only thing we could land on without going bankrupt is jail. The only people who should be going to jail are the ones manipulating these markets in the first place, and I won’t stand by while big corporations are robbing you of your ability to afford to live.

What I’ll Do

  • I will propose legislation that bans or prevents big corporations from hoarding single-family homes.

  • I will fight for legislation that invests in new affordable homes and social housing units.

    • I will lobby and work with federal and local officials to direct federal dollars for these projects and more like expanding the HCV (Housing Choice Vouchers) and rental assistance programs.

  • Provide Rent Stabilization in Nevada that caps rent increases

  • Expand Nevadans ability to be able to organize and file complaints against landlords to ensure habitability.

Why It Matters

Huge corporations and landlords are taking advantage of hard working Nevadans for a couple extra bucks. They are pushing up costs and making life unaffordable for hardworking, regular Nevadans. Prioritizing unlimited profits over the lives of people that can’t afford to pay over half their income on rent is unacceptable and wrong, and Nevadans deserve better.
