Women’s Rights
Where I Stand
As Michael Scott would say, “I love women.” The last couple of years have been a dark day for women and their rights in America. As a man, I cannot fathom how someone else can tell a woman and her doctor what is right for her and her health. I may not be personally at risk for the dangerous decisions of an activist Supreme Court, but I won’t stop advocating for women’s health and their rights.
What I’ll Do
That is why it’s important for us to codify Roe v. Wade into law when Democrats take the majority back, and fix the Supreme Court. Not only that, we need to continue to stay vigilant and fight against policy and practices that discriminate against women.
Why It Matters
An abortion is something that no one wants to have, and many women who have them have to make an unthinkable choice. Not having safe, legal abortion is a THREAT to all women, especially women who already struggle to afford healthcare. Women must have control and authority over what happens to their bodies and their health. Doctors must have all available healthcare options open to them and their patients. In congress, I won’t let men make a decision they have no business making.
