Veterans

Where I Stand

Veterans have been taken advantage of by Republicans. They have sacrificed their lives for this country, yet conservatives have cut funding in the VA and other veteran support services. These cuts have led to massive shortfalls in care, benefits, and appreciation for our servicemen and servicewomen. We now spend trillions of dollars each year on our military but not enough for our veterans. It’s disgusting. We need the federal governments help to expand benefits to our veterans, but we don’t have to sit on our hands at the state level before we get it.

What I’ll Do

  • Support projects that expand housing for homeless Veterans.

  • Support increased funding to implement transitional and educational programs for veterans.

  • Incentivize and provide extra support for non-profits that provide veterans with mental health resources.

  • I will also work to engage with veterans and listen to their needs, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed. By doing so, we can create a system that truly supports our veterans.

Why It Matters

Supporting our veterans matters because they have made immense sacrifices for our country. They deserve the best care and benefits we can provide. A lot of what needs to change will happen at the federal level, but we can sure up the gaps by providing essential services here in Nevada to help our veterans.
